I got at work at 7:15 this morning. I was supposed to leave at 15:30 but we had a meeting and it lasted three hours, from 2 til 5.

That is a very long day and I’m drained.

I’m tired, I was famished when I got home and now my tummy hurts. I think I ate too much. So I’m grateful it’s the end of the week and I get to stay home for three days.

I’m grateful :

  1. The week is over.
  2. I get my hair cut and my nails done this weekend.
  3. I see a friend and we are going to eat a special dessert : chocolate-raspberry pie from Chocobel.
  4. We eat outside in the evenings.
  5. I get to go to bed in 2 hours if I can wait that long.

Having trouble sleeping means I have to take naps. It’s a good thing because it’s the only thing that helps the headaches, backpain and moodiness.

I just took a small nap and it does a lot of good ! Like a cat, I go to sleep where I drop.

Working all day long means I’m more tired at bedtime. Biking helps too. That’s what I’m telling myself when I see the work week ahead of me.

Positive positive positive

I’m tired and stressed out so I think it’s a good time to make a list of good things :

  • Valentine’s Day! My boyfriend has made reservations to a restaurant we like.
  • Coffee. I’m going to get a nice cup after work while I do my homework.
  • Roasted chickpeas
  • Blood oranges
  • Snow falling like feathers
  • Sun in winter
  • Dark chocolate
  • New magazines
  • Weight training
  • Getting the machine I want at the gym.
  • Receiving a book by Interlibrary loan.
  • Pizza with lots of cheese.
  • Polenta pie (recipe in this month’s Clean Eating).
  • Turkey roast
  • New pen
  • My salary
  • One day, I’ll get to TTC.
  • Walking when it’s early morning.

Ouf. About time. It’s finally the end of the week.

Another week of feeling like I’m training for a marathon. Félicitations,by the way, to those bloggers like Elizabeth Evans that do run marathons. I have admiration for runners.

J-L had a job interview this afternoon. Can’t wait to hear what he has to say about it. I hope it goes well, he’s in it right at this moment. It means that I will be alone when  I get home. Small luxury since he finished school and his training.

A colleague gave me chocolate because she was so happy that I understood what she wa saying and I’m the only one that agrees with her on something I do. I think SHE deserves chocolate for the same reason. It feels so good to have someone that understands what I say! It feels so good to have someone who agrees with my point of view. Not because I want everyone to agree with me but because we are going into a wall if people continue to look at it the way we do and I’m the one working with this tool, I’m supposed to be the expert but nobody asks question, they just want to do whatever they want to do and to hell with the consequences !

Tomorrow, I have a zumba class and I am going to use the gym as well. Since it’s in the afternoon, you betcha I’m going to sleep tomorrow morning ! I have been up since 4 am and even if I went to bed really early this week, I’m still pretty tired. Can’t blame it on AF, she’s gone.

Roasted chickpeas ! ROASTED CHICKPEAS!! What a great snack.
